I don't even know where to start. My grievance with Florida Blue started almost a year ago when I needed to see my initial primary care doctor.

I was assigned to Sanitas medical. I get to the appointment and can't understand a word from my doctor as she speaks dominantly Spanish. On top of the language barrier, I received no answers or help to my medical concerns. I then called Florida blue to schedule me with a different medical group as Sanitas is a Spanish oriented medical group, that is perfectly fine but I'm American and speak only English.

Please do not think this is anything to do with racism or any of the likes. I simply want a different medical group for my primary care as I did not like the system Sanitas implemented such as using a computer to ask me questions and not listening to my questions or concerns. So, I have Florida blue schedule me with a new primary care. I get to my appointment and I'm told I will be charged $275.

I said no, my copay is no more then 10. So I call Florida blue again and reschedule again. A couple months go by before any appointments are available so I wait. I go to my appointment and the same issue, they want to charge me 275.

I call Florida blue again, wait another couple months and the same issue happens a 3rd time. It is then that I leaned Florida blue is creating a monopoly as Sanitas is the only medical group I am able to use without be charged a rediculous amount of money. So I have one option for my primary care medical group....so wrong. Needless to say I have yet to see a primary care doctor within this year time of going back and forth.

Now, I have a medical emergency where I have crushed my finger to pieces and I need to know how much I will be charged for urgent care or a ER visit so I call the urgent Care centers and ER and they tell me to call my insurance to find out costs. I do just that and Florida blue refuses to cooperate and tell me how much I will be looking at for a ER visit or urgent care visit. The gentleman I spoke with at Florida blue is Eric L. I asked for his last name and he refused to supply it.

So let me get this straight, you have all of my information on the screen in front of you but you can't give me your last name? Does that even sound right even a little bit? I can't express enough how disappointed and frustrated I am with Florida blue. I plan to dedicate my time and efforts to make this lack of medical care know.

I have been actively trying to seek medical help for a year now and now have a medical emergency that Florida blue refuses to help me with.

My name is Derek Carter 954 394 **** email is carterofalltrades@***.com if anyone who reads this has any help to offer or what I can do please reach out to me. I feel like Florida blue is a huge money scheme, they take the money and don't care about the customers and when the customers are the ones suffering, there is no one we can turn to bc we are up against such a huge corporate giant!
